Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

Position Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) to provide in-home care and support to clients who need assistance with daily living activities. CHHAs play a vital role in improving the quality of life for individuals in need of personal and health-related care within their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene
• Support with mobility and physical activity, including transfers, walking, and range-of-motion exercises
• Prepare meals according to client dietary needs and assist with feeding if necessary
• Monitor client condition and report changes to the RN or supervisor
• Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and room tidiness to ensure a safe environment
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
• Accompany clients to medical appointments or errands if required
• Document care and report daily activities and observations accurately
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
• Maintain confidentiality and respect for client privacy at all times

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Current Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) license
• CPR and First Aid certification
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in home care or a healthcare environment preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Physical ability to perform duties including lifting, bending, and assisting with mobility
